My name is Alex Ryan and I inspire young women to get outside, get fit, feel strong and make friends.

As a keen runner, having completed five marathons, many half marathons and lots of fun runs over the years, I fully understand the physical and mental benefits that come as a result of incorporating regular exercise into your life.

A specific area of interest to me is training groups of teenage girls. I see so much sedentary behaviour with many hours spent communicating online. Written communication can often be misconstrued and friendships affected. My aim is to get girls outside in the fresh air. I want to teach them that exercise can be fun and exhilarating. I want them to meet other girls, have actual conversations and make new friendships.  I want them to feel good about themselves and to feel strong. Most importantly I want to teach them that fresh air and exercise is a great way of managing stress in your life. This will then become a way of life.

I am currently conducting training sessions in Yarra Bend, Fairfield. The sessions comprise a combination of circuit training, trail running, strength and agility exercises.  The environment is fun, friendly and supportive. Contact me for details.
