Alex runs group fitness sessions for Women over 40


As we get older of range our movement diminishes and our muscle mass starts to decline. It is important we maintain our strength and flexibility so that things like picking up heavy washing baskets or shopping bags don’t damage our backs. The key to these sessions is to incorporate functional movement that replicate everyday life so that we reduce the risk of injury and maintain a healthy metabolism.

Alex uses free weights and resistance bands to build strength and help regain muscle tissue and bone density. Strength training together with aerobic cardiovascular exercise for a healthy heart are an essential combination for women over 40 who are looking at improving their overall fitness.

All sessions take place outside, are different every time and are very social! The importance of connecting with others to exercise in the great outdoors is vital for both mental and physical well-being.
